Eric Taylor

November 27, 1999
We needed someone really special to wrap up the first season of Texas Nights House Concerts. Someone who personifies Texas music with grace, power, and style…a legend. Texas has a tradition of producing legendary artists including names like Townes Van Zandt, Guy Clark, and Steve Earle, to name a few. We have successfully found such a legend to grace the deck for the final show of our 1999 season, as we proudly present Eric Taylor.

You have to approach Eric’s work with reverence. His last two CD’s have been solid reminders of why Eric Taylor is among the truly great Texas singer/songwriters. He offers Texas roots grown deep and strong, like pain and pride from the depths of despair, resurrected with the spiritual will to be driven to new heights. Eric’s songs are the seeds of Texas music bearing fruit of influence throughout the genre. Eric Taylor is a skilled musician, a unique singer/songwriter, a poetic muse, a powerful performer with a larger-than-life stage presence, and a profound artist…these are things from which legends are born.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to experience Eric Taylor among a small group of friends on the deck under the Texas stars.
